Portrait of a Theory is an exhibition by Tim Howard. With regards the work, Tim said:

Science has an ever increasing presence in the public consciousness. TV programmes presented by people like Neil deGrasse Tyson and Brian Cox and specialist publications such an The New Scientist have helped to make this once intimidating world far more accessible to the casual observer. Hollywood movies, however inaccurate and far fetched, have also helped to capture people’s imagination.

Never before have we had such unprecedented access to up to date theories of established and fringe science from all over the world.

Whether you are involved in, or just enjoy like I do, reading about all of these exciting developments you can’t help but be inspired.

This exhibition uses a series of portraits to highlight some of these theories and discoveries. They serve as a conversation piece with the hope of provoking further thought and discussion for the viewer.
